What is this plant

mpgarden1June 10, 2012

I am new to gardening and this plant was in the garden when we moved in. It came back again this spring. Can anyone help identify it. It is a single flat leaf green with oval shape and jagged edge. It has a long single stem that is very thin and celery like.

Thanks for your help.

Sounds like burdock unless the stalks are red in color, then Rhubarb.
