I chopped down my maize, and most were about 17-17 1/2 ft. tall. This one was the tallest at over 18 feet tall.
wow that is impressive!!!!!!!!!!! How many cobs would you get off something that size???......Tina
In my climate, this variety doesn't generally produce any ears. I was lucky this year and a few of my plants produced ears. The few that had ears had one or two.
There is a corn maize about an hour from where I live, I took my grandsons there last year, we spent hours going through and getting lost, lots of fun. Then when the field was plowed down the birds were having a field day gathering all the stray cobs of corn and devouring them, it was a pretty sight for a long time.
