Still bloomin' -Break for a dozen

rosemariero(Z9 SW SUNDiegoCA)October 24, 2005

Taking a break from my other long post, here are things blooming these days. First, at a marina nearby, a Blue Heron I snapped with diggie zoom (no tripod-so not good). Also a day of hard rain (VERY rare for us...like SNOW for others) & an oddity in my garden (has happened with a few other plants I have every so often) that caught my eye from the kitchen window!

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful photos, really like numbers 2, 5, 7, 9 and the last one. Keep'em coming.

That hybiscus is really neat, half and half I have never seen.

As usual, wonderful photos!

Ah - California dreamin' - on such an autumn's day....hard to believe such gorgeous things are in bloom while everything slowly freezes up here. Thanks for sharing....

Oooh, is that Passiflora alata? Nice pics. I still have a few bloomers here in the TN valley.

Glad you folks are enjoying the pix. Sorry for the fuzzy ones using digital zoom...I need a new camera (or need to set up a tripod)!

Rebecca, yes it's Passiflora alata 'Ruby Glow' (or Passiflora alata var. phoenicia or Passiflora phoenicia, depending who you talk to).

Wow! What's the blossom--from a succulent, I'm guessing--after the Vigna caracalla and before the first Hibiscus? That last Hibiscus is fabulous!

Thanks! I really like the blossoms on these too, Ana! It is an Aloe...a mystery for now. We had been trying to determine which over on the Cacti Gallery forum.
