Strange Tomatos

Carlson65November 29, 2013

I've never ran across this situation before. I grow tomatoes every summer. I had an abundance of them this year. Very tasty.

There were three tomatoes that were the strangest things I;ve ever seen. Possibly someone can let me know what happened. They grew on the same plant and at about the same place on the plant.

Please look at the tomato pictures and let me know.

I would guess you had optimum conditions for tomatoes since you got a lot and since these are growing together. It was probably one tomato that began to split-like twins split from one fertilized egg. Since conditions were optimal, looks like it kept growing and splitting. I've had several that split into 2, but not that many. Last year was a good year in many places for tomatoes.
