The Buzzards

ooojen(z4MN)November 12, 2005

I meant to share this shot on Halloween, but I got too busy. During Oct. I had a rather unsettling-looking rubber vulture poised on the cupboard overlooking the dining table. I had a ladder up for a while while I was painting, and one of the kittens climbed up to investigate. She looked so cute that I got the camera. Only then did she adopt this pose. Usually eye glare detracts from a picture, but I think it adds to this belated Halloween shot.

What a fun picture Jen! One of those moments where you were fortunate to have the camera close by. I like the vulture too - that must have grabbed more than one second looks.

Yeah really, how'd I miss this thread too?

W/ her flaring/glaring eyes I think she looks like Demon Kitty & a puuurfect companion for the quite realistic looking buzzard. Must've been somthin' to eat dinner under their watchful eyes (did Demon Kitty stay up there very long?)

W/ an eye that forever notices color & design, may I add they both look that much more striking against the orange faux finish behind them! Nice work Ms. Jen.

Wow, that's pretty spooky! Those eyes will be haunting me for the next few hours. There wasn't some poor animal, or plant, on death's door underneath them, was it?
