Carrot worms

jpc57July 13, 2012

I've had to compost more than half of the carrots I grew because they were eaten by a worm of some sort; I actually saw one of the little critters.

From looking around I see to spread wood ash but hubby put some on the garden (raised bed) last fall, and last year peas grew in this bed. And yet I still had to compost most of the carrots. Does anyone else have a solution? I use organic gardening methods, btw.
