pachira pruning help needed!

michikohl4February 14, 2011

I've had my pachira plant since about 2004 and I've never pruned it. It always does really well, strong leaves and healthy. For the 6 months it's been slowly getting droopier and I think that its leaves are just too heavy now. I'd like to do some pruning but I don't know where to begin. Since it has only 2 shoots where the leaves are growing from (the only two going towards the right in the photos) so I don't know if pruning is a good idea. I'd like to get more growth from the trunk itself but I don't think that's possible.

Please see link for pics:

Some advice would be helpful- thanks in advance!!!
