Strange gourd find

phyllis05(7 ark)July 13, 2012

I have 2 acres of hardshell gourds planted and yesterday while walking in my young Indonesian Bottle gourd patch ( these are just starting to set fruit) I found a pear shaped gourd about 6 inches long with leaves growing out of the but end of the gourd. I thought it was very strange but today I am looking around in the patch and find another on the same way. Has anyone ever heard of this happening.

No,it's probably just a fluke of nature. We have grape vines and I found a double grape the other day.
