Chlorophytum comosum

Alshain(8a-8b east-TX)March 19, 2012

My neighbor has a beautiful spider plant (the variant with the white stripes on the outside of the leaf) and has promised me a node. My question is, at what point is it good to cut the node if I were going to root it in water?

I found this little guide, but the bottom of his nodes don't look like that (yet?). The leaves on his nodes cover the bottom of it.

Any suggestions before I attempt this?

I'd wait a little longer before removing the off-shoot. It shouldn't take long. Toni
