Need suggestions for low light gardens

jmtruscelloMay 25, 2012

I recently built a coffee table that has a built in planter in it and i have no idea what kind of plants i should try to grow in it. it will be in my apartment with low light. i was thinking along the lines of succulents, mosses, grasses, or air plants.. if anyone has any suggestions, please help!

Mosses might do ok. Succulents generally require fairly bright light, as do Tillansias (air plants.) It really depends on how low the light level is. Some small ferns might be ok too.

as for the lighting, theres two windows nearby where the table will be, but they dont get alot of light.. so i guess succulents and air plant are out of the question.. what about wheat grass? or what kind of moss? and where would i get the moss? heres a pic of the table before i stained it.. it also doesnt have legs yet. :)
