try and ID this plant by discription

the plant was at home depot and waz like a trees seedling and the seeds it came from was sticking out of the soil and was reall big and green.

Castanospermum australe - aka 'Lucky Bean'.

The 'bean' will eventually turn brown, dry up, and separate from the stem.
