Croton plant damage

applechelleJune 2, 2013

I put my croton outside for an hour of morning sun... And FORGOT about it! It received the hot afternoon sun for 2 days. How can I fix this?

It may shed the damaged leaves(they actually don't look all that damaged all things considered) but these will be replaced in time with new ones. Keep treating it as you have been previously...your croton will be fine. :)

Totally agree, it happens.

If you have a minute, I'd love for you to include your Croton in a sunburned leaves discussion. Wish I'd thought to take a pic of this more often. I've burned a LOT of plants over the years.

What's confusing is that a lot of plants can handle more sun, but the leaves that have been inside so long can get burned, like a person walking out of a cave, their eyes can't adjust fast enough.
