propagating a peace lily

I gave nine a haircut today and saved the leaves, can these be stuck in water and they will root? I'm thinking not but thought I would ask. Thanks

No, the leaves won't root. The only way I know of to propagate peace lilies is to divide them, and that's only possible if the plant in question has suckered (offset) a lot.
