I have a few but will start the fun with one. (Potted with some Callisia.)
Easter cactus (Hatiora gaertneri) Pic from 6/30, this plant has no regard for the calendar, blooming periodically.
My 3 fav jungle cacti, and I have all three
I identified one in another forum today....Ric Rac cactus, also an epiphitic jungle cactus. :-)
Old Man Cactus? Never grown one, but I have seen them.
If you add Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter Cactus together, you get Holiday Cactus.
I've thought of at least one plant often grown as a houseplant, and always commonly CALLED cactus as part of the common name....but isn't!

Rhizo, you're driving me up the wall. lol.
Rhizo, is it the Starfish cactus?
That's not the one I'm thinking of, Greybird. I have to admit that I've never heard Stapelia (Carrion Flower) called Starfish Cactus. Interesting. Has anyone else heard of that? So your guess is a good one.
I HATE to tell you yet, because I know you all love a good mystery.
A clue would be that it's not some obscure, whacky doodle plant. We see pictures of them in here now and then. Another clue might be the fact that I've never heard of this plant called anything but "blankety cactus ".
I promise that I'll give you the answer before I go to bed. OR I might offer a give away clue. :-)
Pencil cactus it is....Euphorbia tirucalli. :-)
Hookers orchid cactus
Grafted cactus aka moon cactus
