Tag only says "succulent". Doesn't seem like a succulent. Came complete with two little snails! I released them into my yard.

Ledebouria, probably L. socialis. A succulent bulb. Cool that it's blooming!

Aren't they pretty plants? I see yours is already blooming. One thing about Quill, there flowers are long-lasting.

Hi Toni,
Yes, I thought it was something different. I also picked up a Purple Waffle plant ( Hemigraphis Alternata) - I understand they are both poisonous. Do you have a Ledebouria?

Hey Elkay,

Purple Waffle Plants are beautiful, too..they need a LOT of water though. When soil dries a little, leave wilt.
The reason I don't have one. lol.

I didn't know they were poisonous. Which plant isn't?
Since I've been a GW member, I learned most plants are toxic than not. I guess some are more harmful than others, who and how much is ingested.
I forgot..do you have pets?

Do I have Ledebouria? Is the earth round? lol.

Yes, I have 3 or 4. Two came as free gift plants w/orders.

Don't know this species but it's pretty, too.

Dh bought this Squill when we lived in Chicago.

Free gift plant..

The oldeset Squill/Scillia/Lede needs repotting. It's been in the same, no-drainage pot for years.

Do you have a photo of your Waffle?
Is it hanging or on a stand?

Last, how have you been? Haven't seen you around much. Been busy in the garden?

I kinda figured you had at LEAST one!

Yes, I have dogs, but they don't bother with my plants.

I've been around. Kind of have my hands full with one dog recovering from two surgeries, three weeks apart. Not fun.

The Waffle is just a small guy.

Love that waffle! That's the one I had for about 10 years until I forgot to water it for like 2 months. In the winter, it would make little spikes of white flowers.
