Here is one more that I bought a Lowes in the arrangement...
Dieffenbachia. Toxic sap, so wash hands after handling. Toni
Thanks again Toni!!!! You are awesome!!!!
That one may not like the heavy, dark soil as much as the Syngonium. Keep this one much more dry. Is there a new stem of plain green leaves coming up?
Years ago folks called it dumb cane (bad name) not politically correct. As mentioned above is toxic.
What it did as I was informed, was affect the nerves
in the tongue so the person would be unable to
speak/swallow for some time.
I use to have some but with grandchild, granny freaked
out and gave them away!
But anything with color and especially with varigation
Threre is a bunch of new growth... Green with the white.... My daughter thinks it is cool to have a poisonous plant... Lol... She tells everybody!!!!!
This is a plant that is common in funeral planters... They should have to put that on a label Somewhere.... maybe they do it on purpose.....lol
It's only poisonous if you eat it, and I think most people wash their hands if exposed to the sap, to be sure not to accidentally spread it to mouth or nose. A lot of house plants are poisonous.
