overwintering echevaria

Please forgive me for disregarding the search feature on this subject. I tried, but I didn't find it helpful at all.

Anyway, I made an impulse purchase of an echevaria this summer at the nursery. It's been outside, but today I brought it into the sunroom to prepare for its eventual move indoors. I'm assuming I'll have to put it under lights for the winter, since I don't have any sunny spot to put it. Anyone have any experience with these? What are my chances for success? Succulents aren't my forte. When I purchased it, I removed it from the wet peat mix it was in, and put it in a much better draining mix.

If you can provide bright light and 70* or so over winter, it will grow ok indoors. If you can let go of the idea you want to see it grow during the winter, you can let it dry down in a bright, cool room (some air movement would be nice) and it should enter a situational dormancy & rest its way through the winter.

Al, the only bright light I'll be able to give it will be under the lights. I keep my grow lights going over winter, as I grow cuttings of some of my outdoor container plants.
When you say, dry down, do you mean not watering it at all?

Almost - only very occasionally - like a little sip once a month.
