T/C Cactus

DearAmbellina(4 MN)September 19, 2013

I just received my Christmas cactus in the mail to find out it's actually a Thanksgiving cactus! I thought they were the same, but now that I looked into it more and read on here, they are not. This is the cactus I bought from Hirts Garden thru Amazon. I think she looks a little rough. I'm going to repot today, should I go a little bigger? This is a 4" pot

Another pic. If anyone has tips or suggestions on how to take care of this properly, I would be greatly appreciate it!!

It depends more on the size of the roots than the leaves. If the roots are pot-bound, increasing the size of the pot a bit is a good idea. If you want to keep the same pot, then prune the roots if they are pot-bound.

Looks fine to me - just some insecticide residue that can be gently wiped off with mild soap solution. I generally find needing to repeat the wiping several times with at least a few days in-between because I can't get it all at once and do not want to rub the leaves too much anyway without letting it recover.
