Mystery Squash

HannahStar(5)October 14, 2013

Hello all! Would anyone happen to know what kind of squash this is? Or maybe it's something else. Pretty sure it is, it's hard like a squash.

I also grew acron this year and they turned out like normal acron. I wasn't big on planing this year and just let things come up. I had turned in my compost with the soil and this was one of the plants that grew.

Or has it mutated??

Any knowledge would be grately appreciated. Thank you!

A liitle fuzzy, but appears to be a squash. Squash cross readily within species so this would be a mutt of some type. Possibilties include acorn - zucchini cross. Probably came from you compost. If youl remember what you may thrown in there, you might be able to narrow it down a bit.

As always I agree with farmerdill anything he says.
It looks like a zucchini cross, to me.

Shape and ribbing look like a Delicata, but no striping. What does the flesh look / taste like?
