Tomatillo questions

zzackey(8b GA)October 31, 2012

My tomatillo is fruiting like crazy! At least it has husks formed all over the plant. 50-60 is my guess. I had to move it into the greenhouse because it was forecast to get down in the upper 30's. I won't be moving it out again. How cold can they take it before the fruits drop? We only heat the greenhouse enough to keep the plant alive. We shouldn't get a frost or a freeze for about 3 weeks now. This was a very early cold spell.

Tomatillos are a lot like tomatoes, but may love heat even more. The fruits may not drop off, but they'll probably stop growing with night temps below 55-60.
