Fall Cleanup

GigibeansFebruary 5, 2013

I live on LI and have less than 1/2 acre. Our landscaper charged us $275 for a fall cleanup. He trimmed the bushes and clean some of the beds. Most of the beds, including the garden were not cleaned. They still have weeds, annuals and brush.

My question: What would normally be done during a fall cleanup?

We don't have many trees and have not had the need for a spring cleanup.

It varies depending on the service provider. Around here, a basic fall cleanup is the removal of leaves, twigs, sticks and limbs from the yard. Providers will offer additional services such as pruning, adding compost to garden beds, cutting back perenials, bed edging, gutter clean-out, etc. for either an additional charge or as a package for competivive reasons. You should always ask what services will be performed and the cost before contracting.
