Lesco 19-0-7

I cant find dimension by itself in my area. At home depot however, they do have Lesco Crabgrass Preventer plus fertilizer (19-0-7). Since I used Scotts Winterizer, shouldn't this be okay to use at the beginning of Spring? This product has nitrogen compared to all the other pre-emergents plus fertizers.

I use it every year in mid to late Feb to control grassy weeds, then I apply straight Dimension in mid-late April for continued coverage through the summer with great success.

The 19-0-7 in Feb is the only time I use weed and feed, per se. I prefer to use each product for a specific purpose, but I see know problem with you using this combination.

Grass does not typically need more synthetic fertilizer in the spring. It needs it in the fall. I would use only a preemergent without any fertilizer in the early spring...actually I never use synthetic fertilizer, but from what I have read here and elsewhere over the many years, that's the way to go.

Don't know what kind of grass you have (I have fescue/cool season grass) or how close your conditions are to NC, but the linked site is pretty much what I go by. You could contact your closest extension service/university for guidelines for your area and type of grass for better turf care.
