i had an old fan and a friend of mine gave me a pole from his old awning. my husband bolted to fan to the pole and i drilled holes in end of fan blades and i now have a multiple rotating bird feeder.
I like it and the other post showing the birds enjoying the feeder is great. Does it move around with the wind?
Different idea for feeding the birds...I like it, too! TFS! Jeanne S.
yes it rotates when the birds land on it. so they get a meal and a free ride!
I saw a working ceiling fan for sale at a TS this weekend. It was cool looking but the part that hung on the ceiling was about 2' long. I bet anything the people who originally bought it, didn't count on it cutting their hair as they walked under it! lol! All the pieces were there so it probably still worked. But this would have been a very neat way to use it outside. I'll have to keep an eye out for old ceiling fans now. It looks like the birds like it too! TFS!
Very imaginative and creative.
What a clever idea!! Love it!
Very clever !! I bet there will be bird wars there ! LOL
What a cool fan, it worked out very well. I love things that move in the garden. Very creative.
That is really cool! I miss feeding the birds...I have 7 outdoor cats. They catch enough on their own. I can't imagine putting "bait" out there to make it easier for them to catch the birds.
Love the idea. Keep up the good work.
Very cute, and I bet it drives the squirrels CRAZY! trying to get to the bird food. What a great idea. Cheryl
my squirrels climb every metal pole i have out with birdfeeders on top.but i love this idea.wonder how much a LARGE jar of vasealine would cost.lol.
