My recent projects

sugarchalet(z5OH)July 2, 2010

I made a concrete mushroom set using old tomato cages and wire mesh as forms. I basically followed the directions at the hgtv website. Although I made mine smaller.

And with the leftover concrete I made a planter :)

You really need a couple of frogs or gnomes to sit on those cut mushrooms! Love the planter too. Great job!

The mushrooms are fantastic! What is the bright red coloring on the cap?
I would love more details. The big one is so perfect.

Sweet mushroom set! -So cute! I like your water-plant basin too. I added a couple plants to my bird bath as they add a nice touch of life when the birds are playing elsewhere. Thanks for sharing!

Very nicely done! I love mushrooms. I've been wanting to cast a large mushroom that would be sturdy enough to sit on. Just haven't gotten around to it yet lol. :o)

Great job!! Are they strong enough for GK's to sit on? Otherwise need gnomes, frogs or maybe a toad nearby! Mouse or bunny would be cute too.The leftover project looks 1st rate to me!! Jan

Wow - I love these guys. Do you have more information on how to make the big mushroom? I've looked all over HGTV and can't seem to find the instructions.

Thanks for the inspiration!!!

I can't believe I missed this one! Love the mushroom table and stools. They'd be adorable with some frogs sitting on them. You did a wonderful job on them and the planter!
