Hi,

That's a Peperomia, maybe clusifolia? But definitely a Pep, nice one too.

I'd consider switching to a faster draining mix. What it's currently in looks too peaty & water retentive.

Great, thanks! So switch to my Miracle-Gro Citrus, Palm and Citrus Soil? Or mix that with the current soil (Miracle-Gro houseplant soil)?

I'm not familiar with what's in bagged potting soils lately, so will leave that question to those more familiar but wonder if that spot is enough light.

I'm not familiar w/ these mixes. I suppose if you add 50% perlite, to what you're using already, it should be OK.

Some of us avoid MG mixes as they can have too much peat & also sometimes wetting agents (things to make it hold more water) which we don't want.

I believe these only need medium light, don't think they want direct sun; you'll need to check on that for yourself. If I recall, Peps are understory plants, growing in shade of other taller plants.
