Lawn Boy engine swap

dcrsoJanuary 5, 2013

I was thinking of putting a 2 cycle 6.5 duraforce engine on a Lawn Boy 10515 Gold Pro mower deck. Mower had a 4 3/4 F-series engine orginally. Does anyone know what all I would need to change to make this swap work?

I'll give this a shot. The duraforce engine is designed with an above deck exhaust but the exhaust flow passes through a transfer pipe under the deck and up into the muffler. also, the engine mounting plate, looking at the parts viewer, looks different. I own both of these types of mower but never thought about a sweap.

the engines' exhaust ports are shaped different. The duraforce port is also larger. Will not bolt up. You should be able to find another junk mower with an F engine.
