Papasan chair arbor and planter

bunky(z6 OH)July 15, 2010

A while back I asked you for information about making an arbor out of a papasan chair, and it seemed no one could find it. Well, I ad-libbed and the results are here:

http://community.webshots.com/user/joan15421 and go to "my crafts" page 2.

Thanks for all who helped me out! I still have a little work to do on the arbor, but for all practical purposes it's done!

This is it ...

What did you attach it to the poles with? Very cool idea for something that most people throw out!

Nice! I see you have some things growing up it already.
I was so upset to see one at the dump the other day. Wish I could have had it. I think I'll post for one at freecycle right now!

I love the pink color of your new arbor..and who would have thought of using the papasan chair for an arbor? Great job...really pops in your garden! TFS!

Thanks to all the comments! I attached the poles to the papasan with screws- I drilled holes throught the chair and pole simultaneously and then put a screw through it. The pvc is over pipes in the ground to hold it steady.
