barrel hoop 'sculpture'

mosswitchJuly 14, 2011

I'm always looking for unusual "sculpture" for the garden, the rustier the better, so I created this armillary shape piece for my woods garden. It's made from barrel hoops, riveted together, with an old curtain rod for the center rod and a couple of finials from an old store display piece, nailed to a stump. Someday I may get around to painting a garden quote on the center hoop.

Here is a link that might be useful: garden sculpture

That is wonderful. It is beautiful just the way it is.

It looks great just like it is a little weathered & rustic, ageless & making you wonder how it got there! Perfect! Jan
