John Deere 111

The engine on my John Deere 111 is getting pretty tired but the rest of the lawn mower is in good condition. Do they make a new engine that I could use a replacement for the original engine?

The old "L" head engines are tough to come by. OHV engines are available and are pricey- plus modifications such as control cables and exhaust may need to be made. Once you start down this road you will have to make that hard decision of how much you really want to keep the tractor rolling. Used engine?
