Gopher Bug

tinfoilhatSeptember 30, 2010

Along with not having a green thumb Mother Nature's critters have conspired against me. Burrowing ground squirrels and gophers help themselves to tender leaves, flowers, and gnaw on tree roots. The microwave said a big bug could solve the problem. I built this and my ground squirrel population declined which was good but last week one of my cats disappeared.

Body is a helium tank, head is a truck airbrake canister and legs are concrete form rods. Nose horn is choker sling hook and mouth is from a mechanical seeder. I have no clue what the antenna were from.

No animals were harmed during photo session.

He's a VERY cool bug! Glad he's helped out with the squirrel problem, but the poor kitty! LOL. Great job and thanks for sharing your creations with us!
