Honda Compression

macwordMay 10, 2010

I just checked compression on both of my HR214 is about 60 pounds, and the other about 80. I am suspecting there is a decompression device on this that might be keeping those readings a bit low.

Any truth to that?

Any mower that has 60 pounds or higher is perfect. If it runs nice and smooth leave it alone.

honda engines do have a decompression thing for easy pulling of the starter rope. working on a couple gx160's and they both have one.
