15 HP Kawasaki on DR Field mower

dmgray55(6b)June 1, 2008

I have a DR Field & Brush mower with a 15 hp Kawasaki engine. I can not find the plug to drain the oil. The manual only says that it is not illustrated as this model could come with 2 different engines. Any thoughts?

If it's the FH430V model...if not the drain is prob in the same place. Look at the base of the engine and you will see a black hex plastic nut with a 1/2" male tube fitting near it. unscrew the hex nut carefully and the oil will drain from the fitting. I would suggest getting a clear tube and route the oil into a container...makes for a neater oil change. Just tighten snugly..don't use excessive force.
