Epsom Salt for Bermuda Grass.

palmtreeguyJuly 15, 2010

I was wondering if it's beneficial if I add Epsom salt to Bermuda Grass. I've googled the topic but I get mixed results. Your thoughts please.

Depends on if your soil is low in Magnesium or not.

Epsom salts are Magnesium sulphate...

You get mixed results by Google because the only people it helps are the ones that have a Magnesium deficiency....

This would be a good time to get a soil test -- California has a pretty strong Agricultural program... University extension offices shouldn't be too hard to find...

As Texas Weed asked... Do you have a Magnesium deficiency in your soil or a soil PH problem that would bind it all up?
