Help in Identifying Grass

Richard_24July 28, 2014

Hi there,

I live in the south of France and have a garden which consists mostly of couch grass and other weeds.

There is one small patch of green however which is miraculously surviving the climate / soil, without being invaded.

Could anyone please help me to identify this grass? It grows very densely and not much longer than the samples shown in the photos, which are 3.5 inches long (from root to tip).

Many thanks for your help!

Richard

Looks like bentgrass. If you golf or live near a golf course you probably got it from the course. Spray it out with round up and seed 24 hours later.

Many thanks for the reply!

Sounds plausible - golf not too far away.
