Main Jets for Techumsey Engines

rolmJuly 15, 2010

I see numbers on the buttom of the jets example 169 or 172 or 174, is the larger jet with the higher or lower number.

Rolm: My working knowledge indicates that the Higher number indicates
Larger Jet Eg: Mikuni #140 , #160 , #180 Main Jets were sized accordingly . Same with Keihein and Walbro Smooth Bore which required re-jetting even when a temp change of 20-30 let alone Barometric Pressure via Altitude Changes occurred back during my Snowmobile Racing Days lol . I would assume same for your application , have you checked the Tecumseh Site ?
