Blue berries but clearly not blueberries

Loves_SucculentsJanuary 27, 2014

I have this bush in the front yard of a house I am rehabbing. I want to give the plant away, instead of just throwing it in the city green bin. But I need to know what it is, before I can get any of the choosy locals interested via craigslist. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.

The leaves are smooth. This plant is growing in front of the porch in a flower bed I will upload another picture in the same thread showing the stalk and general shape of plant.

Here is the picture of the shape of the bush. It has not been manicured as far as I know.

This is the back of the bush, so that you can see the stalk.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide identifying this plant.

Looks like Ligustrum.

The berries are supposedly inedible, although they may contain some medicinal extracts. And otherwise, the plant is considered invasive.

Here is a link that might be useful: Ligustrum

Thanks for the responses. I chopped those down and once I get the stumps out and the house painted I will replace with Succulents!
