New st Augustine lawn

jems59August 17, 2012

We just laid down new sod in June and we have started getting brown spots and a few yellow spots. Is that from to much watering? I'm in CA and we have been having really warm weather. When should we fertilize, I don't want brown spots to take over HELP!

You ask if it is from too much water yet don't post how much you've been watering... ???

Could you post some pictures? That would be very helpful for us to provide accurate recommendations.

And yes, how much do you water?

Has the sod been given any fertilizer prior to planting or any time since the sod was laid?

How often do you mow, and more importantly, what is your height of cut?

Thanks!
