Such long whiskers on this one. I could not find anything that would help me identify it as I moved on my liatris.

It's impossible to identify all the insects and their stages,
I read somewhere that even experts have their problems.

That is a hairy critter, wonder if it is one of those caterpillars who have hairs which can cause itching.

The next thing of course was that it turned into a pupae and then into what butterfly or moth? Can't have any of those winged visitors without caterpillars.
