Happiness resides not in possessions, and not in gold, happiness dwells in the soul.

Joy descents gently upon us like the evening dew, and does not patter down like a hailstorm.

Nice quotes, especially the first. I had to laugh on the second, however. I have had joy smack me up the side of the face suddenly and with as much power as a hailstorm. Alls I have to do is walk into the nursery as my new g'son is awakening, and have him grin and hold out his arms to me. It blows me over and fills my heart to overflowing.

As Suzy said, I have had joy almost overwhelm me when holding a great grandkid for the first time. Didn't sneak up on me either Tears of joy just run down George's face when he is holding them. To him, family is all.
