My daughter is doing a wildflower project. We live in East Texas - Van, Texas. Can anyone tell me what the name of this flower is??

Not exactly a wildflower - if anything a garden escapee :-)
to teach daughter..
wildflowers dont have woody stems.. hence the suggestion that it is a shrub.. and not a wildflower .. if anything.. it MIGHT be a native shrub .. but its not.. as noted.. above ...
might get extra credit for mentioning that ...
another way to say it.. flowers in the wild.. might be wildflowers.. but shrubs in the wild.. MIGHT be native ... but never wildFLOWERS ....
this flower plant makes small pink flowers with 4 pedals
i don't know the name of this one.
so thats the name of my flower plant.
i had to top it so it would stop making flowers because i heard that if you do it helps the plant make even more so i gave it a try to see what happens sens i've topped it its grown more side branches.
mike127 - it's best to start your own thread if you have a new id to ask for. Begonia semperflorens needs to be outdoors as soon as danger of frost is past.
flora_uk i have looked for the spot where i could start my own and couldn't find it, it just gives me a list of names i can click on thats how i got here.
