unknown small white flower - wild guess, Portulaca family

westmichiganflorafau(5)April 22, 2014

Very small white flowers that grow in clumps at the end of reddish pink stems that resemble those of purslane. The flowers at first glance seem to have blue spots on them but the spots are the stamens. Growing in a wet marshy area. One of the few blooming in our very late Spring here in Michigan.

Thanks for the help esh_ga and floral_uk. I went back to see if I could get some better photos (originals a little overexposed) and all the plants were finished blooming already; I would guess they only bloomed for about a week at most, I guess I will have to wait till next year to get more pix.
