Somebody told me they thought this was ligustrum but I am not convinced. Does anybody know what this is? I'm in Texas near San Antonio.

Agree, although it is mixed in with something else. Ligustrum has opposite branching so you can pick out which is the Ligustrum.
Yeah, that was what was throwing me off was the something else mixed in.
It looks like a Tea Olive intertwined with a Ligustrum.
