Does anyone know this plant?

This is in my Grandma's garden in Henderson, NC. It's pretty, but I have no idea what it is. Thanks!

Embothrium(USDA 8 Sunset 5 WA)

Specifically Helleborus x hybridus. During late winter and early spring various hellebores are prevalent at outlets here, including grocery store plant departments and big box stores. Which particular kinds dominate varies, in recent years certain semi-shrubby hybrids - of a different type than the one shown - have been much offered.
