I need help figuring out what type of plant this is so I can bring it back to life. The leaves are usually green not brown. I don't know what type of plant it is to look up the care for it. Please help.
A cycad, probably dead.
Yes, you will need greater skills than just knowing the name of this plant to bring it back to life!! Something along the line of a miracle worker :-))
Many times sagos can lose fronds from cold, but the caudex is still alive and will resprout.
We'd need to know more about what kinds of winter temps this plant received.
It's impossible to know from this pic whether plant is a goner or will come back.
I'd check roots for starters. If they look alive, then there's a good chance. Also squeeze the caudex. If firm, that's a good sign.
