Sooner or later, we all sit down to a banquet of consequences.

Robert Loouis Stevenson

Plant a new Truffula. Treat it with care.

Give it clean water. And feed it fresh air.

Grow a forest. Protect it from axes that hack.

Then the Lorax and all of his friends may come back.

Dr. Seuss

Anne, I can't tell you how true that firt quote is!!!

DGS loves the Lorax story---he wants to find some Truffula and plant them so they won't all disappear---he knows it's a make-believe story, but it doesn't matter---it's real to him and that's what counts.
He might help save millions of trees someday
because of Dr. Seuss.

Anneliese, your quotes this week were all so pertinent and true, I can't pick any one as a favorite, they all were!

The Lorax quote brought back some memories: during the "logging wars" in the eighties, when the tree-huggers confronted the "clear-cutters" a prominent business man in our town, the owner of a logging-supply organization, wanted to get The Lorax banned from the school library, his boy had come home and accused his dad of being one of the bad guys.

Thanks again!
