Plant Identification

Raven21633(7a)April 28, 2012

I was chatting with a friend of mine today and we were talking about a plant that another friend of ours gave her about 20 years ago. Unfortunately that friend has since passed on.

During the conversation, she reached down and pulled up a patch and gave it to me. Neither of us have any idea what this plant is.

I didn't realize it until I uploaded the photo, but it's about to bloom. If it does (since it's been uprooted and transplanted) I'll post another picture once it opens.

Any suggestions are most welcome :)

Thank You

Bradley

This is the mother plant that she pulled it up from.

Yup. And your hosta will be much happier planted outdoors.

Thanks so much.

That's what I thought too, in fact, when my neighbor pointed it out I told her it looked like a hosta, but then when I tried to look it up online the leaf pattern didn't look right to me so I wasn't sure :D

Thanks again :D

Many kinds of Hosta.
And they all go out in the garden (shade-y area)
