mystery leaves/seedlings

Trying to identify what is in my garden (no one has touched it for years) and there is a section where all of these individual leaves are popping up. They may be in other sections of the garden as well, but at this point, they stand out to me in this spot because they are clumped together and there is nothing else there. This is under an azalea bush, near the hedge, both of which are under an oak tree on the south side of the house (so low light)

Looks a bit like something in the genus Ophioglossum.
Could you show one close up?

Maianthemum was my thought also, used to see them in the woods in SE OH. Pretty this pic was taken 5/21/03. That info is not attached to these old pics, but that's the date it was taken from the camera, so it may have been the day before, I would have put them on computer by the next day if not the same day.
