I just purchased this plant at a yard sale. I am told it is hardy and blooms, but no description of the blooms. Leaves are highly variegated. Stems are covered with a white fuzz. Any ideas? More pix below.
thanks for asking...
i planted a sprig of this about 3 years ago.. and its taking over a 10 foot square area ... extremely aggressive ...
i also would like to know the name.. before i go eradicate it ...
or it looks just like it ... lets see what they say
maybe Variegated Mugwort 'Oriental Limelight' (Artemisia vulgaris)?
yes, what olychick said.
Thank you very much for the identification and verification!
And as Ken says, it is a very aggressive spreader, hard to eradicate.
Odd how it is always the garden thugs that wind up for sale at home plant sales and not any of the really good or rare stuff???
you give good plants to good friends ...
and invasive weeds to people who are not your friends..
and even better.. if they will pay you for them .. lol ..
what really irked me.. is that i got two of my worst invaders.. from a botanical garden plant sale.. where THEY propagated all the plants ... though it wasnt this one ..
