ID thegardenia (G. jasminoides) variety? (bloom and bud pics)

bee_charmingMay 6, 2014

I picked up this 10in potted gardenia shrub from Whole Foods about a month ago, it's recently started to bloom, but I've got no clue whether if it's the once-flowering or twice-flowering variety (and whether I should be pruning it back after blooming). It is double petaled, and the tag just said "G. jasminoides". The flowers are about 2 in in diameter across.

It be awesome if someone could tell me the specific jasminoides variety - august beauty, mystery...etc.

Gardenia augusta 'Radicans' ?

Gardenia doesn't require any pruning. Just removal of spent blossoms.
