green plant

zeak(6b)May 9, 2014

I posted this on another thread but then found this one as more appropriate. I'm looking for a shade tolerant green plant that grows thick for privacy and came across this on a hike. Any ideas? Thanks.

It looks like Pseudosasa japonica (Japanese arrow bamboo). Not AS invasive as those in the genus Phyllostachys, but it IS a runner (not clumping).
